About The Serotonin Project

Raise your levels.

The Serotonin Project (then known as Serotonin Productions) was first launched in August 2005 as a company dedicated to lighting and uplifting the world through whatever means possible. It is now a portfolio for both Serotonin and for work done with other incredible organisations and individuals around the world with shared intentions.

There is a Howard Thurman quote that reads, “Don’t ask yourself what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive and go do that, because what the world needs most are people who have come alive”. The Serotonin Project is aimed at just that.

Initially, this was expressed though comedy, music and fundraising – it is now expressed though any means that facilitates thriving: leadership, facilitation, social entrepreneurship, peer -to-peer learning – anything that helps to create a lighter world.

In its early stages, its most recognised projects were “Like Honey and Like Fire”, “Cape Town Rocks” and then the outrageous satire “Eurafrica”(People’s Choice Fleur du Cap 2008).

Over the years it has become an umbrella term for various projects that embody the same vision.
